Our history

Like all stories that have an impact on those who experience them firsthand and on those who discover them, the story of Technology Farm also begins with curiosity.

Curiosity as the desire to learn, to experiment, to develop new ideas capable of finding practical application in the fields of Pharmaceuticalse della Nutraceuticals. An intuition, the dream of humanity to try to invent something new, to answer the questions labeled in our brains under the category of “What if…?”

And what if there was another way to produce active ingredients?
 
What if it were possible to start from agricultural experience to experiment with the innovation of Biotechnology??

And what if this shift in production paradigm also contributed to reducing environmental impact?

Questions have always been part of human nature, guiding our actions over time and our interaction with the world. They stimulate us to step out of our comfort zone, to broaden the horizons of possibility, opening new paths and sailing towards once-unthinkable goals. Without questions, there would be no scientific method, field investigation, growth, or achievement of goals once deemed impossible.

TECHNOLOGY FARM thus had a truly human beginning, starting from what is the fundamental characteristic of our species: curiosity. We began with an intuition, the spark of a dream , and as true entrepreneurs, we committed ourselves to understand how to turn it into reality.

What was this initial intuition about? 
It was the hypothesis of creating, in a highly innovative and eco-sustainable way, a revolutionary plant for the cultivation of microalgae.

An idea that at first might have seemed a bit crazy, but one that the future founders of the company just couldn’t shake off.

So once again, let’s start with the People, who with their skills and operational capacity are the true protagonists of the TECHNOLOGY FARM story. The idea of opening a photobioreactor plant for the cultivation of microorganisms took shape thanks to the tenacity and dedication of Stefano Badalotti, who has always nurtured a great passion for the plant world..

Stefano’s passion was fueled by a voracious curiosity, driving him over time to delve into the field of algal microbiology. Moreover, Stefano also had the experience of his father Alberto in the field of agri-food production. Stefano and Alberto Badalotti draw from their personal resources to get closer and closer to the world of microorganisms, desiring to closely understand the principles that regulate their existence and replicability in controlled breeding

As in any good story that respects the narrative mechanism of the hero’s journey, father and son choose to enlist the experience and skills of some guides. With increasing passion for information, they meet experts in the biotechnology sector, thus inaugurating a series of collaborations, partnerships, and, above all, lasting friendships. It is based on this human capital  that the world of TECHNOLOGY FARM is born, grows, and develops.

 

From project to company, the step seems short, if one does not count the efforts, resources, shared commitment, study, and hours spent on research and development. Giving legs to dreams or, if you prefer, body to intuitions means investing time, putting one’s initial curiosity to the test. And it is at this point that our story, the story of TECHNOLOGY FARM, takes a real turn, because the protagonists of the emerging active ingredient company begin to experience a new sensation.
Slowly, but with the same innovative force as a photobioreactor, the Badalotti family and the entire team of researchers involved in the venture realize that the initial idea holds true. That the dream of embarking on a new, exciting path in the cultivation of microorganisms and in the production of active ingredients was possible, feasible, sustainable.. Eureka! Yes, it could be done.

From that moment on, the journey of Technology Farm and the characters who made its story possible strengthen its main qualities. The curiosity to develop and implement innovation is accompanied by a great spirit of sacrifice, foresight, and stubborn determination. Like in all stories, there are obstacles, and the ending is certainly still to be written…

However, one certainty remains: from the initial curiosity of a simple intuition, TECHNOLOGY FARM has made possible the creation of a new reality. A wholly Italian company, dedicated with great passion to the production of active ingredients for the world of Pharmaceuticals and Nutraceuticals. A very concrete and continuously evolving place, where the path of dreams intertwines with the constant growth of continuous innovation in the world of quality Biotechnology.
